1. How do I make ice cream with the Hijinx flavor bundle?
Blend 1 Hijinx packet with 1 flavor and 1.5 cups of warm water. For a creamier texture, use half & half instead of water. Let mixture stand for 30 minutes at room temperature, then freeze in an airtight container for 3-6 hours. As you would with any ice cream, thaw for several minutes until scoopable. Then enjoy!
2. How long does it take to create ice cream with ice cream mix?
Your signature-flavor ice cream dessert will be ready to eat in just a few hours after you create it. Once you have blended your milk, ice cream mix, and favorite ingredients for 1-2 minutes, you’ll need to let your mixture sit for half an hour at room temperature. Then, it should freeze for anywhere from three to six hours. Once frozen, your ice cream should sit on your countertop for five to seven minutes, which will make it easy to scoop.
3. How does Hijinx work?
Magic! Just kidding. We’ve worked with a team of food scientists to develop a really unique mix of dry milk, along with gums and salts. When combined with milk, water, or any nondairy milk and then frozen, these ingredients activate and make ice cream!. Yes as simple as that!
4. How much of a flavor bottle do I add?
Just dump that sucker into your blender! We've portioned out each flavor for you so you can simply blend and freeze with ideal results. Blend water, one flavor bottle, and one packet of Hijinx for a pint of unique, perfectly-flavored ice cream.
5. What are natural flavors?
Our flavors will transform your base ice cream flavor--just pour them in! A natural flavor is derived from plant, vegetable or fruit material. It does not contain any artificial or synthetic additives.
6. Are any of your flavors artificial?
Nope, all of our flavors are derived from plant and vegetable extracts, so you can rest assured you won't be adding any unnecessary chemicals.
7. Is is better to use milk or water?
For a sorbet/gelato hybrid with a stronger flavor, we'd recommend water. For a creamier, gelato-esque texture, we'd recommend half & half. You can use dairy alternatives, but note that lower-fat-content substitutes may yield icier results.
8. Can I use non-dairy milk?
Yep -- you can use any nondairy milk alternative with HIJINX ice cream mix. The texture will be similar to water-based results, due to the lower fat content.
9. Can I really make ice cream out of ANYthing?!
You bet! Simply blend your favorite ingredient -- Campfire S’mores, Pinot Noir, Coconut Curry -- with milk & Hijinx Ice Cream Mix packets, freeze, and enjoy. Science and premium ingredients work together to bring you a superior creamy ice cream texture without an ice cream maker. Grab your blender, and you’re ready to go!
10. Can I make alcohol-infused ice cream?
You bet! Enjoy your girls’ weekend-in with wines-cream tastings and ice cream cocktails - Strawberry Rosé, Bellini, Lime Margarita, or Irish Coffee ice cream. Easily turn your “usual” (or that trendy cocktail you’ve been wanting to try) into a frozen treat. Simply add liquor, wine, or beer to your mixture before blending!
11. Is it easy to make unique flavors?
Almost TOO easy! Our homemade ice cream mix makes it easy to simply throw in ingredients and freeze, so you can make any flavor of ice cream you can dream up! Experiment with exciting flavor combinations like Lemon Basil, Pistachio Baklava, BBQ swirl, Peanut Butter Ginger, Mascarpone Matcha, Masala Chai, Bacon Maple, Horchata, Chocolate Covered Potato Chips, Nutella Banana, Cereal Milk Ice Cream... the possibilities are endless! 12. Can I mix two flavor concentrates together?
Love the energy, but we'd recommend sticking to just one. We've carefully formuated each bottle so it creates the PERFECT flavor per pint. Should you choose to go rogue, we'd strongly advise using only a portion of each bottle, to avoid overwhelming or alcohol-y tasting results.
13. Can I use this flavor concentrate for baked goods or anything else I cook?
You can, but we’ve specially proportioned each flavor vial to use with a single packet of Hijinx ice cream mix. We are unable to recommend quantities for other uses.
14. Can I add alcohol to my flavor?
Definitely. Check out this chart for the recommended ratios of each type of alcohol. Typically, we recommned no more than 2 oz of hard liquor per Hijinx packet. For wine and beer, use 1 cup wine/beer and 1/2 cup water/half & half.
15. What comes in my flavor bundle?
Every bundle comes with Hijinx packets, flavor concentrates, and some special gifts we threw in to show you how much we appreciate your friendship (can we call you a friend? is that too forward?). The bigger you bundle, the more flavors, Hijinx, and limited edition Hijinx merch (like magnets, totes bags, and color-changing scoops) you'll receive.
16. How can I give a bundle as a gift?
A gift bundle is the ideal present for any foodie or DIY-er in your life--it's right there in the name! Send an entire box to a loved one that would love to experience a range of new flavors, or separate out flavors/packets (give each person one Hijinx packet and one flavor bottle) to give out the most delicious stocking stuffers on earth. One gift bundle order can = 7, 10, or 12 stocking stuffers in one go! Or simply get a box for yourself, and host an evening of ice cream tasting with your favorite ice cream freaks.

18. Do I have to use a blender?
Not at all. You can use a whisk to thoroughly combine the powder with your milk. You can also shake the powder and milk in a (tightly sealed!) jar or container.
19. How can ice cream be an experience?
