Yuzu’s unique flavor and versatility makes it a useful ingredient in tons of recipes, from sweet desserts to savory dishes. Yuzu-flavored products are locally and digitally available, and easier than ever to find. If you’re looking to enhance an everyday dish with a unique ingredient that’s sure to impress, this is a great one to try.
Pairing yuzu with other flavors can enhance the overall dish. It pairs exceptionally well with berries, tropical fruits like mango and pineapple, chocolate, and even green tea. Even enhance your favorite seafood dishes (such as grilled fish or shrimp) by adding a touch of yuzu juice or zest. It also works wonders when combined with soy sauce-based marinades for meats like chicken or beef.
It’s no surprise that with all of its uses (and health benefits like vitamin C, antioxidants, and potassium), yuzu has become a popular and refreshing ice cream flavor. That said, it’s not always easy to find in stores. With Hijinx, you can use your own yuzu-flavored ingredients to make homemade ice cream, or even try a pre-made, DIY yuzu ice cream flavor.
