Rosemary Honey Walnut

INGREDIENTS

  • HIJINX ice cream mix
  • 1 ½ cups half & half or water*
  • 1 sprig of fresh rosemary / ½ teaspoon dried rosemary
  • ½ cup walnuts, chopped
Note: For a lighter version use water. For a creamier version use half  & half.

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Warm the half & half, rosemary and honey over medium heat or microwave until it just beings to boil. Make sure the honey is fully dissolved. 

    2. Remove from heat, let it sit for 30 minutes, or until desired flavor is achieved. Strain the half & half to remove rosemary.

    3. Reheat the half & half mixture on stove or in the microwave for 30 - 60 seconds or until hot. (Do not boil)

    4. Using a blender, combine 1 packet of HIJINX ice cream mix with the half & half. Blend for one minute or until thoroughly combined.

    5. Let the mixture rest for 30 minutes on your counter.

    6. After 30 minutes, gently stir in walnuts. For better distribution, freeze for 1 - 2 hours before stirring in.

    7. Transfer to a freezer-safe container with an airtight lid.

    8. Freeze for 3 - 6 hours. Enjoy!
