Pear and Blue Cheese


  • HIJINX ice cream mix 
  • 1 ½ cups half & half or water*
  • 2 tablespoons blue cheese crumbles
  • 1 cubed pear


  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Honey
Note: For a lighter version use water. For a creamier version use half & half.


1. Warm the half & half over medium heat or microwave for 30 - 60 seconds (do not boil).

2. Using a blender, combine one packet of HIJINX ice cream powder with the half & half. Make sure HIJINX is dissolved completely.

3. Gently stir in the cubed pear and blue cheese crumbles into the mixture.

4. Let the mixture rest for 30 minutes on your counter.

5. Transfer to a freezer-safe container with an airtight lid.

6. Freeze for 3-6 hours. Enjoy!


1. For a stronger taste, double the amount of pear. Peel, dice and cook with 1 tablespoon sugar until pear turns soft. 

2. Save 2 tablespoons of pear, and mix the remaining with milk, HIJINX ice cream powder and half the blue cheese. 

3. Gently stir the remaining blue cheese and pears into the mixture after the 30 minute wait period.

4. Dissolve honey in warmed milk as an enhancer.
