Lavender

INGREDIENTS

  • HIJINX ice cream mix
  • 1 ½ cups half & half or water*
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoons dried lavender flowers
  • pinch of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
Note: For a lighter version use water. For a creamier version use half  & half.

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Warm the half & half and dried lavender flowers over medium heat or microwave for 30 - 60 seconds (do not boil). Remove from heat and let the mixture sit for 30 minutes. Strain the half & half to remove the lavender.

    2. Using a blender, combine 1 packet of HIJINX ice cream mix with the warm half & half mixture, honey, sea salt and vanilla extract. Blend for one minute or until thoroughly combined. Make sure the honey is dissolved.

    3. Let the mixture rest for 30 minutes on your counter.

    4. Transfer to a freezer-safe container with an airtight lid.

    5. Freeze for 3 - 6 hours. Enjoy!
