Beignet Chicory Coffee Ice cream

INGREDIENTS

  • HIJINX ice cream mix
  • 1 cup half & half or water*
  • ½ cup chicory coffee
  • ½ cup beignet, chopped
Note: For a lighter version use water. For a creamier version use half  & half.

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Warm the half & half and coffee over medium heat or microwave for 30 - 60 seconds (do not boil).

    2. Using a blender, combine 1 packet of HIJINX ice cream mix with the half & half and coffee. Blend for one minute or until thoroughly combined.

    3. Let the mixture rest for 30 minutes on your counter.

    4. After 30 minutes, stir in beignet pieces. For better distribution, stir in after freezing for 1 - 2 hours. 

    5. Transfer to a freezer-safe container with an airtight lid.

     

    6. Freeze for 3 - 6 hours. Serve with a sprinkle of powdered sugar. Enjoy!
